Lauren & Andrew are such a fun couple! They were super nervous about being awkward in their photographs, but once I told them to just hang out and snuggle a little bit, they completely relaxed. It ended up being such a fun afternoon and we really can’t wait for their wedding this summer!
Something to brighten this dull winter’s day! Christine & Dan canoed (I waded!) out to one of the islands on the Grand River in Cambridge . We took some great photographs as they cuddled up with a campfire. What a lovely day and such a unique idea for an engagement session!
These two pretty much giggled their way through their engagement session and the results are adorable. Their engagement session also included, books, board games and a Star Trek print skirt! I can’t wait share the rest!
There are so many lovely things I could about Amanda & Mike. They are such easy going, laid back people . One the day of their engagement shoot the clouds looked angry and it was clear a storm was coming. This didn’t faze them at all. Instead of being wary of the coming storm, they embraced the weather and just got into it! It ended up making for some really unique and fun photographs, that actually, I think, look better then if the weather had been perfect. Here is just a little peek at their engagement shoot, with more to come!
A peek at Brigette & Andrew’s engagement shoot on the grounds of Dundurn Castle in Hamilton from this fall!
Love this photograph from Judy & Nathan’s engagement photo-shoot. So dreamy!
Had to share this shot of Amanda & John’s engagement session in Toronto that I edited this morning.
More to come!
Katie & Kevin’s lovely DIY outdoor wedding in Elora this past summer was such a pleasure. From the simple and beautiful handmade details to the gorgeous outdoor venue, everything looked fantastic. The wedding party was also a blast to work with!
We are so happy to share this couple’s photographs with you!
Lisa & Alex’s wedding day has such a great story. Their wedding day was a rainy summer day and though the it held off for the family and wedding party photo-session, as soon as we started the couple’s portraits, it started to pour. Not to worry, we had two big golf umbrellas and a great coffee shop overhang. Soon however, the golf umbrellas were no match, and we ran to a clothing store.
In the store, we grabbed a few fun shots, but the couple were anxious to continue their portraits so we ventured into the rain, stopping at a beautiful brick overhang. Lisa & Alex were able to keep dry and my assistant held the umbrella, while I took some beautiful photographs of the couple. The streaming down rain created a soft, dreamlike effect. Within a few minutes however, the rain started coming down hard again and we were forced to take shelter. As fate would have it, at that very moment, a woman approached us and invited us to take the bridal portraits in her beautiful studio apartment. Her home was so lovely and a fantastic backdrop for the couple. As we finished up our photographs, we noticed the rain had stopped and the sun was coming out. As we prepared to leave, our hostess gave the bride and groom a bottle of wine. We couldn’t believe it!
That isn’t the end of the story however, after we left the apartment, Lisa decided that she would love to take a walk and get some ice cream. Once the couple ordered their cones, Alex realized they didn’t have any cash! No problem, the man next in line stepped in and paid for them! What a lovely story! Who says that you can’t rely on the kindness of strangers!
It was such a beautiful day and I was so happy to be part of that experience.
Here is a little peak at the beautiful rustic cottage wedding we shot at a cottage in Goderich Ontario this past weekend.
